The 9th Digital Earth Summit will be held in Chennai, India on September 6-8, 2022. The Summit is organized by the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), and hosted by the Institute of Remote Sensing, Indian Anna University. This is the first time that ISDE conducts its event in South Asia countries.
The theme of the Summit is “Digital Earth to Bridge Digital Divide for Attainment of Sustainable Development Goals”. The main objective of the Summit is to bring together scientists and professionals from the international community to present latest achievements, discuss challenges and share experiences. The conference program will feature keynote speeches delivered by leading scholars, technical sessions with reports of the latest research outcomes, discussion sessions on operational topics such as capacity building, Spatial Data Infrastructure, big data, space policy, programmes and projects, as well as industrial exhibitions showing latest products and services in Digital earth and geospatial information technologies.
Digital Earth Summit is an event organized by the International Society for Digital Earth every even year. Since 2006, the Summits have been conducted in New Zealand, Germany, Bulgaria, Japan, China, Morocco, Russia. The 2024 Digital Summit will be held in the capital city of Rwanda, Kigali.
