President of the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Csaba Korosi praised China's work on promoting global sustainable development during his visit to the country, saying the UN hopes to work with China to an even greater extent to address global issues.

On 2 Feb. 2022, the president of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Csaba Kőrösi visited the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals, a center created to support the achievement of the SDGs.

China will continue to support and participate in the work of the United Nations and coordinate with the international body in areas such as climate change and water resources in order to jointly address global challenges, Premier Li Keqiang said on Friday.

President Csaba Kőrösi met today in Beijing with State Councilor Wang Yi.

The President will conduct several field visits relating to sustainable development. Among the locations is the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS), a center created to support achievement of the SDGs.

It's mid-term evaluation time for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering poverty eradication, zero hunger and clean water for all, that the UN proposed in 2015.
