A global initiative calling for stronger international cooperation to advance sustainable development through digital science and technology was unveiled on Thursday at the "International Forum on Science for Sustainable Development," a parallel event of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum.
BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Participants at a parallel forum of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing unveiled an initiative on Thursday, calling for global collaboration to leverage digital science and technology to accelerate sustainable development and address global challenges.
On February 28, 2025, Lidia Brito, UNESCO's Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences, wrote to Prof. Guo Huadong, CBAS Director-General——“I am pleased to inform you of the endorsement of your initiative entitled “Digital Sustainable Development Goals Programme” as a Programme of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD).”
