Bai Linyan, associate researcher, graduated with a Ph.D. from the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences in July 2009. She mainly engages in research on atmospheric quantitative remote sensing theory and methods, as well as sustainable development assessment. In 2014, she has been a visiting scholar sponsored by the Chinese government at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has presided over more than ten projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, the "Western Light" talent project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and provincial-level (key) projects. She has published a total of 52 academic papers (including 12 SCI papers as the first author/corresponding author in journals such as Nature sub-journals and Science of the Total Environment), co-authored 3 monographs,  and holds 5 authorized invention patents,  She has received two second prizes at the provincial and ministerial level.
