Professor Mihály’s research covers satellite geodesystandardization of digital base maps, (c) utilization of GI/remote-sensing and (d) international cooperation. He is docent of Technical University of Budapest and honorary professor of West-Hungary University.
Last governmental positions are Director General, Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing, (FÖMI, 1997-2010) and Delegate to INSPIRE (2011-2012).
